Laayoune 002 is a lunar meteorite found in 2022 in Saguia el Hamra, Western Sahara. It is classified as a lunar feldspathic breccia, a type of Moon rock formed from broken fragments shattered and reassembled by impacts on the lunar surface. This stone began as part of the lunar crust, was launched into space by an impact, traveled through the void, and eventually landed on Earth.
